We know & like kids! Our home and our yard are child friendly.

The suite is complete with toys (Thomas the Tank Engine) videos, books, puzzles & games to amuse your children before their own toys arrive.

With our own nine year old, we are aware of locations of interest to parents-- family friendly restaurants, childrens' bookstores, shoestores etc. We know of nearby nanny shares and babysitters-invaluable information for newcomers to the city.

It's a wonderful home because:

- The house is located near beaches, parks & Granville Island.
- The suite is large and luxuriously furnished.
- There are good restaurants and shops nearby.
- The home is very child friendly with toys, games, videos & books for the children
- The hosts Judy, Trevor & Lachie are warm, friendly & thoughtful people who gave us lots of helpful advice. (For eg. available nanny shares & babysitters, advice on a nearby doctor & medical clinic able to help with a medical emergency etc.)

When we arrived in Vancouver, having driven from Pennsylvania just after September 11th with 3 small children aged 1, 3, and 4, we really needed a stable friendly environment for our young family. Fortunately, this is exactly what Judy provided for the 3 weeks we stayed with her and Trevor."

"We stayed in Kitsilano Cottage by the Sea for two months in the autumn of 2001 while we were on sabbatical in Vancouver. We found the accommodation ideal for our family of two adults and two children - aged four and eight. The location is superb and we had no difficulty travelling around Vancouver by foot or public transport. The surrounding area is well served by shops and restaurants. There is plenty for the children to do locally - parks, beach, museums, swimming, Granville Island ... The apartment is extremely comfortable, well maintained and well equipped.

Judy and her family were welcoming hosts and helped us in many ways before and during our stay.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Kitsilano Cottage by the Sea as a base for any stay in Vancouver - long or short."
